Abstract

In October 2007 Asus rolled out the Linux Eee PC, successfully bringing open source software to the consumer electronics market. Asus has moved from purely manufacturing to successfully developing own-brand products. This report analyzes Asus' adoption of open source software in the development of the Eee PC.
